Miss Ellen Terry as Lady Macbeth, John Singer Sargent 1889.
Those divine blue eyes. One of my english teachers had them together with the red hair. And each time I saw her I had to stare directly into them, wishing I could paint them and thusly preserve their beauty for generations to come. Well, at least one of us could paint. Anyway, Sargent sure had a thing for beauty and preservation of it. Also, I would like to thank Mr. Waldemar Janusczak for introducing him to me as he did with other masters of art of 19th and 20th century.
